Looking for a fun and family-friendly weekend activity to take part in this spring? On Saturday, May 5, you can find us at the second annual California Honey Festival in downtown Woodland! This festival, which was designed to promote honey products, honey bees and beekeeping, will feature a variety of lectures and demonstrations that are free and open to the public.
Attendees can take honey-centric cooking classes, learn how to turn gardens into bee-friendly habitats and even explore the lives of honey bees at the UC Davis Honey Lab. There will also be more than 150 vendors at the festival (including Marshall’s Farm) offering a diverse selection of honey and beeswax-based products.
This year’s honey festival will include a little something for people of all ages. Adults can enjoy a glass of mead or beer from local breweries, and younger guests will be sure to love all the entertainment options at the Busy Bee Kid Zone.
We’ve been looking forward to this event all year, and the 2018 honey festival promises to be even better than the first! Whether you’re interested in becoming a beekeeper or you just want to sample some of the region’s best honey products, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Stop in anytime between 10AM and 5PM on May 5 to check out everything the California Honey Festival has to offer!
